Conceived by Factory Records, New Order, and Rob Gretton in 1982, the club featured pioneering design by Ben Kelly and Peter Saville, creating the perfect setting for the rise of acid house and Madchester. Legendary nights like Nude, Freak, and Flesh turned the ex-boat showroom into a global phenomenon that inspired everyone from The Chemical Brothers to Sasha and Happy Mondays. Though The Haçienda closed its doors in 1997, its legacy thrives through world-class events, bringing cutting-edge DJs and live acts to global audiences. Haçienda Classical, an orchestral reimagining of dance anthems, has reached millions globally, keeping the brand relevant to new generations while celebrating its iconic history.
