In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing Faithless Insomnia for the first time in the mid 90's blew my mind, I had never heard anything like it before, and opened a new world of music for me to explore. Tell us why you chose this song. “Joi” One day in the studio, just enjoying the Moog Sub37, creating weird noises, I had an idea. To combine spoken word monologue, consisting of single words creating a story, like a short form film that ends up in dark techno, mayhem but controlled. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After having a big club hit with Bouncing Harbour, I was booked at Escape in Amsterdam, but before that I had only played in small clubs for max 50 people. Playing peak time for 1500 people was terrifying, but also a huge rush, kicking of my career.
