In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our earliest memories are back road drives with the windows down, grunge and southern rock music blasting through truck speakers, and a bottle of cheap whiskey. Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deftones, White Pony Kings of Leon, Mechanical Bull (Expanded Edition) Soundgarden, Superunknown These records represent the blueprint of our sound. The heavy grunge of Soundgarden, Kings of Leon's raw southern groove, and the dark, atmospheric energy of Deftones completely shaped how this band writes riffs and deliver dynamics. It captured the song exactly how it felt to play it live in the room. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In our early days, we won a contest to open up for Bon Jovi in a sold out American Airlines stadium in Dallas, TX. Up to that point, our biggest crowd was probably 200, but that night, there was 20,000+ screaming people in the building. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? 1.
