In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I sang in front of anyone, I was ten years old and sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for an audition to play The Cowardly Lion in the school production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. There's a video somewhere in the deep dark depths of YouTube What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Robert Johnson, King of the Delta Blues Singers Soundgarden, Badmotorfinger Waylon Jennings, I've Always Been Crazy It's hard to choose just three albums from all the great music in history, but I feel like these three sort of sort of represent some different places that I draw inspiration from when doing my own writing. I wish I could choose at least 3 more. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Runaway” This was one of the first songs we wrote for my solo project and one of the first times I collaborated and wrote with people outside of my band, Blacktop Mojo. It has a bit of country and a hint of early 2000s rock, which I think blends really well. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? With Blacktop Mojo, I once got to jam on stage with Sammy Hagar and DMC from RUN DMC for a TV show. Before we shot for the show, we got to play a few songs of our own for Sammy and he was super cool and enthusiastic about our music. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Headline an arena, open for some of my heroes, and play a show on the moon.
