About Khatia Buniatishvili

Georgia-born Khatia Buniatishvili is a world-renowned classical pianist who performed her first concert at age six with the Tbilisi Chamber Orchestra.
∙ She received the bronze medal at the 2008 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, a contest to support the careers of promising musicians.
∙ Between 2009 and 2011, the pianist was a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, a title that led to radio and promotional support for her music.
∙ Buniatishvili signed a record deal with Sony Classical in 2010 and debuted the next year with a collection of Franz Liszt compositions.
∙ She’s had Paavo Järvi and Zubin Mehta conduct orchestras on several of her albums.
∙ On Coldplay’s 2015 album, A Head Full of Dreams, she contributed dreamy, evocative piano to “Kaleidoscope.”
∙ In 2020, she paid tribute to the late composer Ennio Morricone with a somber piano arrangement of his Once upon a Time in America song “Deborah’s Theme.”
