Katzin makes thoughtful, enveloping indie rock infused with folk's organic feel, the gritty textures of alt rock, and synth lines that recall classic new wave. New Yorker Zion Battle started his career early, earning attention with his 2021 breakout "Getaway" released when he was just 16. He continued to build on this success, signing with Mexican Summer immediately after high school. Advance singles like 2025's "Anna" and "Wild Horses" preceded Katzin's full-length debut, Buckaroo, released in March 2026.
