Just a few months after Biggie's murder, his producer/hype man Puff Daddy dropped this album and became a hip-hop megastar. Despite his limited rapping skills and unapologetic use of ghostwriters, Puffy scored a huge hit with No Way Out, topping the charts and racking up major singles like the Bowie-sampling "Been Around the World," the Grandmaster Flash redux "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down," and the Police-inspired tribute track "I'll Be Missing You." It would sell more than 7 million copies and win a GRAMMY Award® while ushering in a decidedly more glossy sound in New York rap music. More of a compilation than a proper album, this features an all-star lineup. Biggie appears on several joints, alongside Jay-Z, Ma$e, Busta Rhymes, The Lox, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Black Rob, Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, Twista, and 112. Check out "Young G's," "Victory," and "Don't Stop What You're Doing."
