The relationship between Fabolous and Jadakiss may be the closest of any Verzuz participants yet. As preternaturally talented New York MCs who first made their names in the post-Notorious B.I.G. era, the two have managed—near miraculously—to avoid the kind of professional squabbles that put so many fanbases at odds throughout the aughts. After they guested on each other’s mixtape cuts for years, 2017 saw them release their long-rumored, much-anticipated joint project Friday on Elm Street (both should feel entitled, if not encouraged, to play the project’s “F vs. J Intro”).
