In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad started taking me to nursing homes when I was 5 years old to play with a band from his work. That's where I got my start in country music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mark Chesnutt, Savin' the Honky Tonk Country music was really beginning to become pop and I just didn't relate to it. I heard this album my senior year of high school and it sounded like the country music I love. From then on I dedicated myself to this country music sound. I took a chance and made the kind of album I wanted to make and brought it to TX. It was my debut Texas single and first number 1 at radio. It was the first time to truly be rewarded for the kind of music I love.
