Annotations of an Autopsy

England's Annotations of an Autopsy (AOAA) specializes in uncompromising deathcore with underpinnings of savage hardcore punk, grindcore, and thrash. AOAA issued its debut EP, Welcome to Sludge City, in 2007, followed by the full-length Throne of Infection, in 2008. The LP turned heads in the U.K. extreme metal scene and set the stage for 2010's assured II: The Reign of Darkness, the band's first release for metal titans Nuclear Blast. A series of personnel shifts heralded the arrival of the 2011 EP Dark Days, and by 2013, Annotations of an Autopsy had officially gone on indefinite hiatus. AOAA returned in an official capacity in 2025, joining Slaughter to Prevail's "Grizzly Winter" tour alongside Suicide Silence and Dying Fetus.
