Dave Koz: Next Steps

Aside from his silky ballads, saxophonist Dave Koz enjoys working some bounce into his smooth jazz. The percussive “Think Big” pairs him with melodic guitarist Keb' Mo' for a New Orleans-flavored R&B party, and “Get Up and Dance” features Koz and trumpeter Rick Braun weaving hypnotic call-and-response solos over disco beats. “My Back Porch” is a slice of country funk and blues swing as deliciously groovy as a lazy summer afternoon.
