About Spizm

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. SPIZM was born at a jam session in Chicago circa Fall 2002. There drummer Spiz was jamming jazz standards all night, bored out of his mind, when in walked Pablo with his upright bass and bottle of bacardi. A drum n bass jam ensued and sparks flied. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Faith No More, Angel Dust Soul Coughing, El Oso Squarepusher, Big Loada Angel Dust took my then 14 year old self by storm and has remained a source of inspiration and solid go-to since 1992. El Oso took live drum and bass/electronic drumming to new levels. Big Loada inspired me to new directions in IDM. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “B4uDie” Originally composed in Summer 2007, B4uDie has become an anthem for SPIZM. Responding to drummer/singer's twin brother Nick Marsalek's tragic and sudden passing in 2004, B4udie is a testament and reminder to the living. Carpe Diem
