About Saucy Santana
With his bold personality and Miami-inspired sound, Florida rapper Saucy Santana is among the new generation of LGBTQ artists finding success in hip-hop. • The Tallahasse native came out as gay when he was 17. Before rap, he was a makeup artist whose clients included the Miami hip-hop duo City Girls. • Santana only started rapping in February 2019, when he recorded a theme song for a podcast he was cohosting. • During 2019 Fashion Week, Rihanna personally booked Santana to perform at her Fenty afterparty. • Days after surviving a December 2019 drive-by shooting in Miami, the rapper responded with the single “You Can’t Kill Me.” • In 2020, Santana released two projects: Imma Celebrity and Pretty Little Gangsta. The latter features such talented female rappers as Mulatto, Renni Rucci, and LightSkinKeisha. • Santana has cited Gucci Mane as his favorite rapper. His 2020 track “Trap Girl” was inspired by Guwop’s “Dope Boy.”
