About Mura Masa
Mura Masa is the stage name of Alexander Crossan, an award-winning British electronic artist and producer who began crafting beats in his bedroom at age 15. ∙ Anchored by the EDM hit “Love$ick,” which featured lead vocals from A$AP Rocky, his self-titled 2017 debut LP made the Billboard 200 and earned a pair of Grammy nominations. ∙ He cowrote “First Things First,” the opening track of grime artist Stormzy’s chart-topping, Platinum-certified 2017 release Gang Signs & Prayer. ∙ Legendary disco outfit Chic tapped him to coproduce 2018’s It’s About Time, which landed in the Top 10 of the UK Albums chart. ∙ In 2019, he won a Grammy Award for his remix of HAIM’s “Walking Away,” which originally appeared on their sophomore LP, Something To Tell You. ∙ Rapper slowthai guested on R.Y.C.’s “Deal Wiv It,” which topped NME’s list of the 50 Best Songs of 2019.
