About Kalafina
Japanese composer and producer Yuki Kajiura put together Tokyo J-pop group Kalafina specifically to perform themes for the anime movie franchise Kara no Kyōkai. ∙ Kalafina’s bewitching dance-pop debut single, “Oblivious,” reached the Top 10 on the Japanese singles chart in 2008. ∙ The group provided opening or closing theme songs to multiple anime series, including Black Butler, Fate/Zero, and Katsugeki Touken Ranbu. ∙ In 2012, their folk-pop single “Moonfesta” was the theme song of NHK’s daily TV show Minna no Uta. ∙ All five Kalafina studio albums and two of the group’s greatest-hits compilations reached the Top 10 in Japan.
