About Javier Rosas y Su Artillería Pesada

Formed in 2010, Mexican corrido band Javier Rosas y Su Artillería Pesada was inspired by frontman Rosas’ love of norteño music and the grupero genre. ∙ The group broke through with 2014’s upbeat “En la Sierra y en la Ciudad ‘La China,’” which reached the Top 10 of the Regional Mexican Airplay chart. ∙ In 2015, Rosas received a Golden Microphone award, which is given to Latin artists who earn significant radio airplay in America. ∙ At the 2016 Lo Nuestro Awards, which recognize excellence in Latin music, he won New Artist of the Year. ∙ The band has had two full-length LPs reach the Top 10 of Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart. ∙ Rosas collaborated with Adriel Favela on the 2018 single “La Escuela No Me Gustó,” which was a Top 20 hit on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
