Higher Power

Leeds-based hardcore band Higher Power have won a sizable following for their hard-hitting, guitar-based sound, which adds atmospheric elements of 1990s alternative rock and a metal-infused guitar attack to their heavier punk sound. On their debut album, 2017's Soul Structure, Higher Power's sound was at its most straightforward, a high-velocity hurricane of guitars and drums, while 2020's 27 Miles Underwater marked a shift to a darker and more artful approach that didn't compromise their commitment to hardcore. With 2024's Absolute Bloom, crisper production and sharper dynamics gave their songs a new punch.
