Coming home from the beach, sunburnt and exhausted, falling asleep in the back of the car with James Taylor on the radio. Dave Matthews Band, Under the Table and Dreaming John Mayer, Room for Squares Sting, The Dream of the Blue Turtles Remastered I was a huge Police fan and then Sting showed me that musically, anything is possible. Dave Matthews is a brave songwriter who's not afraid to run the gamut from gentle guitars all the way up to a big wall of sound. John Mayer for the storytelling. It draws on my personal experience being in the sea, whether I'm caught dangerously on the inside or tucked into the perfect barrel. If you can survive the storm, you can survive anything.
