About ATEEZ
ATEEZ is out to conquer, as the K-pop boy band’s electro-bombastic anthems make clear. Debuting in 2018 with the growling, cinematic “Pirate King,” the Seoul-based group—composed of members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jungho—has traversed all manner of sonically adventurous landscapes. They are as at ease on the roiling waves of the sea (as on the lush, tropical-pop “Wave”) as they are zipping through cyberpunk underbellies (like on the whizzing, synth harmonies of “Crazy Form”). ATEEZ melds its distinctive, towering sound with thunderous live performances that show the band asserting its place in the K-pop scene, with an eye on bolstering its robust, supportive global fanbase known as ATINY: On the energetic kick of “BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS),” the group members compare themselves to American rock icons to draw attention to their home country’s love of tangy spice.
