Nyno Vargas

Antonio "Nyno" Vargas Cortés is a Spanish urban music singer, songwriter, and producer. Born in Valencia in 1993 to a family of gypsy ancestry, Vargas grew up immersed in the flamenco tradition, but gradually also developed an interest in contemporary urban genres such as rap and reggaeton. In 2015, Vargas released his debut album El Efecto Nyno, reaching number three on the Spanish charts. More albums (Esa Historia, Dicen De Mí, El Efecto Nyno... Continuará) and hit collaborations followed, notably "Hola, nena" with Omar Montes, and "No te enamores" with RVFV and Maikel Delacalle, and "Ve y dile" with Antonio José – all typically mining the same formula of flamenco-accented urban braggadocio. During the first half of the 2020s he also appeared frequently on popular TV talent shows, either as guest or contestant. El Efecto Nyno... Fin, Vargas' fifth studio album, saw the light in 2025.
