About Lérica

A platinum-selling Spanish group that combines elements of reggaeton, dance, R&B, and Latin pop, Lérica became social-media darlings covering popular songs before finding mainstream success in the late 2010s with chart-topping originals like "De Tranquilote" and "Flamenkito." Originally comprised of vocalists and producers Tony Mateo, Juan Carlos Arauzo, and Rubén Noel, the trio honed their skills on social media, releasing a string of popular covers that racked up huge streams. Before long they were looking to make their own mark. Beginning with 2014's "Eres Ese Milagro," which was penned by Mateo's superstar brother Abraham Mateo, Lérica stormed the airwaves, issuing a string of original hits like "Caprichosa" and "Recordando el Beso," also written by Abraham, that paired high-energy dance music with regional flair -- all three of those cuts appeared on the trio's 2016 full-length debut, Cien Mil Motivos. Operating as a duo with Mateo and Arauzo, Lérica have remained a formidable Latin pop presence, releasing a slew of hits and collaborations, including 2019's "Un Traguito (feat. Belinda)" and "De Tranquilote (feat. Danny Romero)," and 2020's "Flamenkito," their second collaboration with Belinda. ~ James Christopher Monger
