About PXNDX
Founded in 1996, PXNDX (or Panda) was a Mexican pop-punk band that released four Platinum albums and helped draw attention to the Monterrey rock scene. ∙ The band broke through with their second album, 2002’s Platinum-certified La Revancha Del Príncipe Charro. ∙ They topped the Mexican Albums chart with the 2005 LP Para Ti Con Desprecio, a feat they would accomplish four times during their career. ∙ The first LP to show off the PXNDX band name, 2006’s Amantes Sunt Amentes remains their bestseller and earned a 2008 Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Rock Album. ∙ After the group announced a hiatus in 2016, frontman José Madero went solo and fellow members Arturo Arredondo, Ricardo Treviño, and Jorge Vázquez formed the band Desierto Drive in 2018.
