Lords of Acid

About Lords of Acid

Belgian techno outfit Lords of Acid pushes acid house/industrial dance anthems with sexually-explicit and hedonistic lyrics. They first gained notoriety in the early '90s, injecting cheek and wit into the scene, which established a dedicated cult following that kept them active through the decades, even as lineups shifted and their sound incorporated more mainstream pop and electronic elements. Their throbbing 1991 debut album, Lust, spawned a pair of club hits, "Rough Sex" and "I Must Increase My Bust," and featured their trademark male-female vocal interplay between Praga Khan and Jade 4 U. On 1994's Voodoo-U, they added industrial elements to their sound and became a more straightforward, band-oriented group, carrying that trademark sound onto subsequent albums such as their U.S. breakthrough Our Little Secret (1997), Farstucker (2001), and post-hiatus comeback Deep Chills (2012).
