About The Spill Canvas
Originally the musical nom de plume of lead vocalist Nick Thomas, the Spill Canvas eventually became a full-fledged four piece rock band. After selling over 50,000 copies of its indie debut, the South Dakota based band signed to major label Sire and entered the mainstream, hitting the Billboard Top 200 charts with 2007’s NO REALLY, I’M FINE. Sonically, the group mined disparate influences, mixing a heaping helping of 1970s and ‘80s corporate rock and power pop influences with a modern approach informed by the emo/alternative scene.
