Vision Fortune

Years after meeting as boys at a Belgian boarding school, the three musicians who make up genre-shifting drone-rock act Vision Fortune got together as young adults in London. Employing various guitars and electronics, brothers Austin and Alex Peru joined with drummer Andreas Cuatroquesos around 2011 to develop their early sound, one that drew from both the rough-hewn stomp of garage rock and more experimental drone sounds. Several singles, CD-Rs, and lower-level releases were followed in 2013 by proper debut album Mas Fiestas con el Grupo Vision Fortune. In 2014, Vision Fortune took part in a two-month residency funded by the Cuatroquesos Foundation and recorded the material that ended up on the group's second album, Country Music. ~ Fred Thomas
