Cindy

An indie group based in San Francisco, Cindy puts a spare, haunted spin on slowcore and vintage pop influences. The band released their first album, Cindy, in 2018 before adding a devoted keyboardist to the lineup. They went on to produce more of their murmured, languidly catchy ruminations on albums including 2020's Free Advice before leader Karina Gill took a more openly collaborative approach to a similar end on 2023's Why Not Now? The group had settled into a more regular lineup by their fifth LP, 2026's Another Country.
