Nedelle Torrisi

About Nedelle Torrisi

A product of a father who was a jazz drummer and a mother who was a classical pianist, indie soul singer Nedelle Torrisi, or Nedelle, grew up playing a variety of instruments. Her Republic of Two debut was released in May of 2003, followed by an album of duets with Thom Moore in 2004. Her second solo record, From the Lion's Mouth, arrived in 2005. The next year, she appeared on the Curtains' album Calamity, then in 2007 her third album, The Locksmith Cometh, was released. After the Curtains dissolved, Torrisi teamed with that band's founder, Chris Cohen, for another project, Cryptacize. They went on to release two albums before splitting. Her eponymous fourth album appeared in 2013. ~ David Serra
