Leonov

Named after Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, the first human to walk in space, Norway's Leonov melds immersive post-metal, shoegaze, and celestial doom with lyrics rooted in themes of existential dread, resilience, and transformation. Since forming in 2010, the Oslo group has continuously evolved and refined its doom-gaze sound, as evident in assured releases such as Wake (2018), Procession (2020), and Shape of Ash (2025).
