In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I began writing music in 1977 while hitchhiking across post-Vietnam America. It was during these travels that I witnessed people suffering and beautiful acts of compassion, which provided the lyrical inspiration that continues to influence me today. Tell us why you chose this song. “We'll Carry On” This song just makes me feel good. It's about facing our demons in relationship and coming out on the other side. It's got a bit of a Buddhist slant (the demon Mara makes an appearance), but the feel of the song is just fun. Love the juxtaposition.
