He’s giving the sleepers a second chance by contextualizing this project alongside its predecessors, attaching Smaxk Season and Smaxk Season 2 onto discs two and three of this sprawling epic. On Smaxk Season 3, Fatt makes clear that his style is inextricably linked to the way he was raised. On the opener, “BANKS HOUSE,” he spits over pensive piano chords and syncopated 808s: “I got n****s around the world who are tryna see how the fuck they find my flow/I said I got this shit at Bank’s house”—an homage to his family name. He keeps the Atlanta references consistent, like on “GREENBRIAR MALL,” where he talks about the good old days: “When I’m tryna get some drip, I ’member used to shop at Greenbriar Mall.” Fatt Smaxk’s entire history is seemingly contained in these lines, and on this project.
