Norteño-centric duo LOS DOS DE TAMAULIPAS have been on a tear in 2026, following their dynamic Expansíon with a series of singles pushing the Houston-hailing act’s brotherly bond into riveting directions. Among those tracks is “Sin Ti,” a melancholy love song laden with longing that captures the collaborative spirit of Rolando and Orlando Zapata, and serves as an anchor for this robust five-track EP. The accordion-driven sound that has come to define their music auspiciously opens No Fue Suerte with “5.0,” an engine-revving corrido that unapologetically bears several modern-day signifiers of material success. They shift gears for “En Dios Confío,” taking a comparatively humbler approach to its narrative of hard work and the corresponding payoffs of said labor. There is a certain economy to much of the lyricism here, saying a great deal without getting needlessly verbose on the tightly wound “Paciencia” as well as the romantically embittered “Échame La Mano.”
