After dazzling música mexicana fans with a series of singles and features, California corridos practitioners Clave Especial made their ethos known on 2025’s MIJA NO TE ASUSTES. As on that preceding album, this stopgap EP finds the Street Mob signees in collaboration with a number of contemporary talents. Opener “NUEVA TEMPORADA” reunites them with mysterious labelmate Chuyin for a luxe, flirtatious ode to the object of their affection. On the previously released single “FERRARI,” they join forces with Los Gemelos De Sinaloa and Fuerza Regida to collectively express both a shared sense of triumph against adversity and a celebration of mutual success. Sierreño star Chino Pacas proves a potent duet partner on “TRANKI TRANKI,” a somewhat salacious and exceedingly blunt dialogue. On the two tracks without guests, the high-energy “EA EA EA” and the highly indulgent “SCARY MOVIE,” they remind us that they’re already an effective musical unit to begin with.
