On 2024’s ONDEADO$, Calle 24 demonstrated an expansive approach to corridos that felt uniquely his, one with lyrical range and a flair for storytelling. For ETERNO, his fourth project with Street Mob Records, the Chihuahua singer-songwriter behind Fuerza Regida fan favorites as well as his breakthrough collab “Qué Onda” maintains that level of quality from end to end. His tumbados bona fides remain very much intact on “TÓXICOS” and the blissfully narcotized “Ay Dieguito,” yet he adapts in exciting ways on impeccable tracks like “10 De Mayo” and the closing “MI ULTIMO DESEO.” Naturally, the guest list includes some top-tier figures in música mexicana, with Grupo Frontera affixing their bold signature to “BESES ASI” and Armenta adding to the grand nature of “Pa Querer Cualquiera.” His day-ones will assuredly gravitate to “Noche Perfecta” with the aforementioned Fuerza Regida, but it’s solo moments like “No Soy Pa Ti” and the politically charged “EL SENTRITA” where he truly shines.
