Los Plebes have endured quite a few tragedies in recent years, including the 2015 death of original bandleader Ariel Camacho, but somehow all that strife hasn't sapped the sierreño trio's exuberance. Much of the band's uniquely jubilant sound comes from their dueling guitars, which once again lock into utterly infectious rhythms on lively corridos like "Aquí Andamos." But perhaps nodding to the band's recent struggles, there are also haunting moments throughout, peaking with the nostalgic tearjerker "Un Mentado Ariel."
