Yeek

Singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist Yeek—born Sebastian Carandang in New Jersey to a Filipino American family—moved to Florida as a child and adopted his musical moniker in middle school. In 2014, he released his debut project Current Mood, followed by 2015’s Love Slacker and 2017’s Sebastian—inspired by his relocation to Los Angeles. Fellow South Floridian Dominic Fike as well as R&B singer-songwriter UMI joined Yeek on his six-song 2019 EP IDK WHERE. (He’s also worked with Paris Texas, Bakar, Raveena, and other artists.) With a nurturing of the DIY music aesthetic—heard on 2023’s Future Reference and the 2025 single “Heaven”—Yeek creates a singular mishmash of indie rock, soul, hip-hop, and pop.
