Nora Fischer

Soprano Nora Fischer performs music from the Renaissance and Baroque to the present but is particularly identified with contemporary music and with projects that break down inter-genre barriers. Fischer has named avant-garde soprano Cathy Berberian as a major influence. She made her recording debut in 2016 on the album Iván Fischer: A Composer's Portrait, devoted to her father's music. In 2018, Fischer made her solo recording debut with Hush, a collection of Baroque arias on which she was accompanied by electric guitarist Marnix Dorrestein. In 2020, Fischer issued the album Louis Andriessen: The Only One.
