Japanese rockers Half time Old got their break when they won the 2013 Inazuma Gate talent competition, earning a spot in front of 50,000 fans at the following year’s Inazuma Rock Fes. ∙ The video for their 2016 single “Antihero” stars Madoka Umemoto, formerly of Japanese idol girl group SKE48. ∙ 2017’s heart rate-spiking single “Out Focus” is not only the band’s biggest hit, but it’s also an official theme song of pro baseball team Yokohama DeNA BayStars’ home games. ∙ Half time Old graduated to festivals in 2019, playing Rock in Japan, the largest outdoor music gathering in the country. ∙ The band’s single “ANOTHER ROAD” and their megahit “Out Focus” were added into regular rotation at a popular Japanese karaoke chain in 2019.
