About Macaroni Empitsu

Japanese rock quartet macaronienpitsu formed in the city of Kanagawa in 2012. ∙ The band members met as students at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and performed their first live gig on campus. ∙ In 2015, they released the EPs Al dente and Eichibi. ∙ The 2019 video for their single “Enshin” featured images from manga artist Makoto Ojiro’s similarly themed work Kimi wa Hōkago Insomnia, about two teens who have trouble sleeping. ∙ macaronienpitsu’s 2019 EP Season rose to No. 5 on the Japanese charts. ∙ The band wrote “Ikiruwosuru”—from their 2020 EP Aiwoshirazunimahouhatsukaenai—as the opening theme for the animated TV series Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken.
