In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up with 6 brothers and sisters. When I was 6 years old, my father brought home a piano for Christmas and one of his buddies, a jazz pianist, played all night. I was mesmerized. I thought: This is what I want to do. He was my first teacher.
