Known for their intricate texturing, Meg Duffy has managed to build a reputation as a session musician and touring guitarist for numerous singer/songwriters while becoming equally recognized for their personal songwriting outlet, Hand Habits. Begun as a home-recorded solo venture, dreamy, delicately textured guitar songs first surfaced on a split EP in 2014. Hand Habits had expanded into a band by the arrival of the project's second album, 2019's Placeholder, and two years later, the SASAMI-produced Fun House combined Duffy's reflective folk-leaning instincts with elements of synth pop and dance-rock. The multifaceted musician continued to play with texture on 2025's collaborative Blue Reminder.
