American indie rock band Big Thief is fronted by Adrianne Lenker, who’s also known for her acclaimed solo music. ∙ All members of Big Thief are graduates of the Berklee College of Music. ∙ In 2016, Big Thief kicked off a three-year run of near-constant touring, playing approximately 700 shows around the world. ∙ Released only seven months apart, U.F.O.F. and Two Hands both made the Billboard 200 chart, and U.F.O.F. received a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. ∙ “Mary,” from the 2017 album Capacity, landed at No. 44 on Pitchfork’s list of the 200 Best Songs of the 2010s. ∙ The band was nominated for two Grammy awards in 2021 for the song “Not.”
