About John Mark McMillan

John Mark McMillan is a contemporary worship music singer/songwriter with indie, folk, alternative rock, and occasional electronic influences. He found mainstream success in 2005 with the single "How He Loves," which has since become a worship mainstay, with multiple artists offering their own renditions -- the David Crowder Band earned a Dove Award nomination for their version in 2010. Since then, McMillan has enjoyed a prolific career, issuing acclaimed efforts like 2017's chart-topping Mercury & Lightning and 2025's live worship effort Cosmic Supreme on his label Lionhawk Records.
