Ai Otsuka wrote her first song at age 15. ∙ Her second single, “Sakuranbo,” peaked at No. 5 in Japan. ∙ Ai Otsuka’s debut album, Love Punch, was accompanied by a 60-page booklet containing her own art and prose. ∙ Her 2005 performance at the Ongaku to Higetachi Festival solidified her status as one of Japan’s top idols. ∙ In 2019, Ai Otsuka released Ai Am Best, too, a 31-track retrospective celebrating her 15-year career.
