About go!go!vanillas
With more than 20 releases since 2013, go!go!vanillas are one of Japan’s most prolific J-rock acts. ∙ Their 2014 major-label debut, Magic Number, featured the single “Magic,” which became an underground radio hit in Japan. ∙ The success of “Rockin’ Zombies”—their 2016 split 7-inch single with THE BAWDIES—resulted in a joint tour between the two bands. ∙ They contributed the cover song “Killer Tune” to Pause, a 2017 tribute album celebrating the 20th anniversary of Japanese alt-rock outfit Straightener. ∙ In 2019, the band’s song “No. 999” was chosen as the closing theme to the anime show GeGeGe no Kitarō. ∙ Their 2020 hit single, “Amazingrace,” debuted at No. 5 on the Japanese charts.
