About Rubikon
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hearing Sailing by Christopher Cross as a little kid and the deep feeling of happiness that song created in me. I live for metal, of course, but I eventually met Mr. Cross and got to tell him just how much that song meant to me. Good dude. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Blind Melon, Soup Mos Def, Black On Both Sides Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power Pantera is the best band ever in every way, on and off stage. Blind Melon is my somehwat-logical melodic counterpoint to Pantera's groove-metal roar. And Black on Both Sides is front to back a perfect album by the incredibly talented Mos Def. Boom! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Hollow Men” The eternal poetry of T.S. Eliot set over a hyponotic metal stew running at a low boil. We didn't know the world needed this combo until it came out in just minutes during a jam session in our frigid rehearsal studio in Boston; warmed us right on up. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember hearing the roar of the crowd as we took the stage at an arena in Troy Ohio. It was the first time we shared the stage with the legendary Tesla, and I was NOT expecting such a colossal sound BEFORE we started playing, that's for sure! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being in Rubikon for 25 years, creating music and touring the world with my besties - it has taught me so much about life, hard work, and the bonds of community - it's just incredible. And I've laughed my f*****g ass off during the entire journey.
