About Donavon Frankenreiter
Professional surfer Donavon Frankenreiter began his musical career as a friend and protégé of Jack Johnson, a fellow surfer with a similar fondness for the music of the 1970s. Following two albums recorded with his late-1990s jam band, Sunchild, Frankenreiter signed with Johnson's Brushfire Records and released his self-titled solo debut, co-produced by Johnson, in 2004. A subsequent move to Universal Records' Americana imprint, Lost Highway Records, resulted in 2006's MOVE BY YOURSELF.
