Nick Hakim

Nick Hakim pairs melancholic songwriting with a dazed folk-soul hybrid sound rendered psychedelic with his use of reverb. Signed to ATO Records shortly after he made his independent recorded debut, the earnest singer/songwriter, guitarist, and producer released three albums for the label, beginning with Green Twins (2017), followed by Will This Make Me Good (2020) and Cometa (2022). Between the latter two albums, he also teamed with saxophonist/poet Roy Nathanson for Small Things. Hakim has issued additional recordings with fellow New York-based artists such as Onyx Collective and Combo Chimbita, and has filled a wide assortment of collaborative roles that include production for Zooey Celeste, Eddie Chacon, and Loyle Carner, among many others. He reactivated his Earseed label in 2025 with an expanded reissue of his first two EPs, and continued in 2026 with the jointly released ballads "Real Here Now" and "Water."
