In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad took me to see the great jazz pianist Teddy Wilson when I was fourteen. He gave a stelar performance and was a total gentleman. I knew then that I wanted to be a jazz pianist. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Keith Jarrett Trio, Keith Jarrett Trio: Tribute Miles Davis Quintet, Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet Remastered The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds How can I choose only three albums? These are all in my musical DNA- Pet Sounds for the songwriting and arranging genius of Brian Wilson; Workin' because it's a blueprint for all modern jazz groups, and Tribute because Jarrett is so lyrical. It weaves melancholy and hope together and reminds the listener that so many of our worries and troubles aren't as big as they seem.
