About Vilma Palma e Vampiros
Purveyors of a festive, crowd-pleasing hybrid of rock, pop, ska, funk, reggae, cumbia, and even flamenco, Argentine rock band Vilma Palma e Vampiros was founded in Rosario in 1990. Led by singer Mario Gómez, the group's revolving lineup typically featured seven or eight members. Vilma Palma became an overnight sensation with their eponymous 1991 debut album and its leading single "La Pachanga," which went on to become one of the decade's biggest hits and helped the band break into several other Latin American countries. In 2010, Vilma Palma celebrated its 20th anniversary with 20-10, one of their most successful later efforts. Boomerang, the band's 12th studio album, appeared in 2018.
