About Los Enanitos Verdes
Formed in 1979, Los Enanitos Verdes are one of the most popular and influential Argentinian rock bands of all time.
∙ Los Enanitos Verdes’ 1994 Santana-esque “Lamento Boliviano” is the most-streamed Argentinian rock song ever, and it was referenced by J Balvin and Bad Bunny on 2019’s “UN PESO.”
∙ Released in 1996, the band’s Guerra Gaucha featured production help from guitarist Jeff “Skunk” Baxter and accordion from musician Julieta Venegas.
∙ Tracción Acústica, their live greatest-hits album from 1997, was nominated for a Best Latin Rock/Alternative Performance Grammy Award.
∙ In 2006, their organ-driven, jangle-pop single “Mariposas” reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart.
